Private Hands-on Classes
Most people look at my class schedule and either find the project or skills class that inspires them, but maybe you’re the kind of person that likes to take the path less traveled. Perhaps I offered the class you desperately wanted to take at a time that wouldn’t work for you, or the course was full. With the introduction of my Private Hands-on Classes, you can now customize your time in the shop more than ever before.
Choose from one day to an entire week. You can include a friend or spouse for the same price. Or bring a couple of friends at a special discounted price. It’s easy to schedule your private hands-on class. Scroll through the calendar above and click on the start date that works for you. From the dropdown selectors choose the number of days (from 1 to 5) you’d like for your class, then add yourself and a second or third person. Book Now!
Chuck will be in touch to discuss exactly how to customize your private hands-on class.

I completed a 5-day private hands-on class with Chuck Bender. I built a 2-shelf display cabinet out of 100 year old “wormy chestnut.” Chuck was highly professional and made me feel quite comfortable working with him. He answered all my questions and showed me how to do all the steps needed to construct this cabinet, as well as, how to interpret the plans I brought with me. In fact, the scope of his knowledge was such that the suggestions he made in the construction of this piece actually improved upon the written plans . His shop was well equipped and comfortable. I would highly recommend this course and felt it was worth the time and money spent. Plus, I brought home an awesome piece of furniture! As an added perk, Chuck’s lunches were excellent and the town of Jim Thorpe was definitely worth a visit.
